Back from the retreat

What a FAB weekend!! I am now back from the Wight Craft Circles second retreat at Totland Bay. It was so relaxing and loads of fun. We had 11 lovely ladies scrapping, laughing, chillin out and taking silly photos. I have some photos to post but all the group shots were taken on Paiges camera so when I get copies I will post them, she also has the photos of us actually scrapping!

I managed to do 6 LO's and one altered frame this weekend. Not as much as I thought I would get done but im pleased with all of them so I suppose it doesn't matter! I just enjoyed talking to everyone and seeing what they were doing!

This LO is of my daughter Shelby (bee for short)
I used Abbey rd PP and chipboard embellishments, Making Memories PP, thickers and adornit alphas. I have not done the journalling yet as Im not sure what to put.

This LO is about the Bloodstone Morris Dancers. They are a new group and I went to see them perform a couple of weeks ago. I loved their costumes, very goth with lots of black velvet and red ribbon! I have tried to capture the feel of their costumes in the PP, embossed alphas and ribbon. The PP is Kaisercraft Sakura range and the alphas are artsy.licious.

This is my daughter, Goddaughter and her sister on the beach in October half term. Their mum is my best friend so they have grown up together. PP is Pink Paislee cupid collection and lace c/s. I also used a stampin up edge punch (borrowed from the lovely Alison at the retreat who bought a huge box of punches with her!), thickers, October Afternoon stickers and American Craft stamps.

I have been meaning to scrap these photos for a while. The pic on left is me with my Nan at the silver jubilee in 1977 and the other is of my kids at the golden jubilee in 2002. Paige made the photo look aged for me so it matched the other one. PP is Rusty Pickle & Kaisercraft, MME journalling card, gems, and the title was cut on my Slice.

This is my son standing in the marches at the duver. PP is Lillybee, three birds, Jillibean soup cream of mushroom, MME journal card, Little yellow bicycle stamps, stampin up punches and crate paper alphas.

These photos are from the WCC first retreat. I have put two pics together here which is why my face doesn't quite look joined up!
PP is Sandylion and October afternoon. I bought the lovely glossy chipboard alphas at the last retreat and had not used them, I don't know what make they are though.

I altered this little frame for my husband. I didn't think he'd be that impressed with it (you know husbands and our scrapping stuff!) but he loved it! The PP is Hedi Grace and I cut the letters on Paiges cricut.
Paige has posted more photos of the retreat on the Wight Craft Circle blog (link at top of page) if you fancy a nosey before I can get copies on here. Also we have done a challenge on our WCC blog. We both really enjoyed Shimelle's scrap like you mean it last year. The prompts really encouraged us to do a LO a week, so we have come up with our own list. If you would like to play along go and have a look! Let us know you are playing so we can have a look at your LO's on your blog!
Thanks for looking x

Lovely inspirational layouts.

I love the skies over the Isle of Wight. We had angry skies when we visited in august which made for some good shots. Fab scenery on the island too.
