Sneak Peaks for SA

Ok, I might be a little early with these as voting has not finished for challenge 4 yet but i wanted to put them up as you never know whose going next, this might be my only chance to show them. Make sure you pop over and place your votes for challenge 4 which is on the website until the end of March, the link is on the right.
This challenge was to use ribbon. We were sent a lovely selection from Doodlebug in hot pinks and lime greens, boutique ribbons, flocking and alphas. We also had to make an additional item this time. I have never really altered anything before so im not sure how my additional item will stand up against everyone elses, but i did my best!

Mothers Day

I had a lovely mothers day yesterday. My kids woke me up at 7.30 (!!) to give me a card and present(which im listening to now, Ronan Keatings, songs for my mother). Then i was given tea and croissoints in bed! In the afternoon we went for a long walk along the costal cliff from Shanklin to sandown and then we went up to Culver Down and watched some gliders. It was a lovely day spent with my family.

Not crafty, but cute!

I took these photos of Willow on Monday. It was the first time she was allowed to run around the garden on her own. Yes, my DH has finally put the fence up all the way around our garden so its now puppy proof!

Willow had great fun, running, chasing the ball and wallowing underneath our trampoline in the huge mud bath that has appeared there! She was so filthy when i brought her in i had to bath her, which she was NOT happy about! I think i will let the garden dry out before we do that again.

The Wight Craft Circle

My good friend Paige and I run a small crop on the second Saturday of everymonth. There are between 6 and 10 of us who attend. We are busy trying to organise a weekend scrapping retreat at the moment on the Island. A whole weekend just scrapping, chatting and relaxing! There may be a few places available to other people who are intrested, just check out our blog (link at top of page) for updates. Here are a few photos of our recent crop, they are not good photos as i took them and the sun was shining through every window!

This is my daughter with all her crafting stash!

Busy, busy, busy!

Dam you blogger!!! Looks like all my photos are going to be sideways from now on!

I did this LO at our monthly crop (the wight craft crop circle, see blog list!) The photo is of my DH and our puppy Willow, taken on a stroll along the seafront last month. I used the new PM scallop c/s, main paper is Fancypants papa/confident and the stripey paper is sassafraslass serendipity/sugary love. The journalling tag is Anna Griffin and the alphas are a mix of thickers, doodlebug and PM. The braid and ribbon and buttons were from my stash.

Another LO done at our crop, which is a bonus for me as i normally only get one LO done, too much chatting not enough scrapping!!!
This one is of my sister, again taken by Paige, when we took the dogs for a walk to Quarr Abbey last month. I love the photo as Zoe is totally unaware that her photo is being taken and it has a sort of misty, dreamlike quality!

I used the new Core'dinations gem c/s, papers are MM artisan falala and fancy pants floral chic/fairytale.The alphas are PM and MM rubons, the felt is Queen & Co, embellishment is PM and the usual primas, buttons, gems and braid from my stash. (and this ones the right way up!!!)

SLYMI week 11: Scrap with fabric. I could have been a whole lot more creative with fabric but i really couldn't be bothered to try and drag all my fabric out from the back of my big cupboard!! So, I have used a fabric tag from a pair of jeans that matched my papers. The papers are Fancypants/daydreams, MM journal tag, technique tuesday stamp, primas, buttons, gems and alphas are PM and american craft.

The photo is of my daughter, taken by my friend paige, when we went to the beach in the half term week. She kept saying her feet were really wet!!!
(The picture is round the wrong way, for 3 days now i have been trying to put my photos on and blogger just will not put them on the right way round! So sorry if you have to crane your neck! Any suggestions on how to get blogger to display them right would be appreciated!)

I have caught up! My latest SLYMI pages.

Papers are K&CO Mira bird floral, and leaves were cut from WE R MEMORY KEEPERS nonsense range. The journal stamp is MM, birdy stamp is a freebie from a magazine and alphas are PM and MM rubons. Ribbon, braid, flowers and buttons from stash. The bingo card was sent to me from my friend Paige.

Week 10-Scrap a funny face. Well, sort of a funny face, it wasnt the face i asked her for! papers are Fancypants kewl and keylime papers. I used a stamps away journal stamp, I love elsie and basic grey rubons, primas, gems and ribbon. The dragonfly ribbon was bought for me by my sister on our recent trip to hobbycraft. Alphas are PM.

Just to remind you that challenge four of Scrapbook apprentice is online for voting NOW until the end of March. My sneak peaks for this challenge are below. Two people were eliminated last round which was a shock to us all, and everybody was sorry to see them go. Use the link on the right to pop over and have a look at all the entrys.
Long time, no blogging! Just an update on my SLYMI LO's.

The photos are not great, sorry! Week 5-scrap in black and white. Papers are doodlebug, alphas are PM and some primas, buttons and ribbon from stash.

Week 6-Scrap with ribbon. I am not that keen on this LO. You know how it is, you have the beautiful paper and want to create something really special with it then you mess it up!! Paper is Kaisercraft, the chipboard dragonfly is riffraff painted with twinkling h2o's, ribbon and primas and brads from stash.

Week 7- Scrap an old photo. This is a photo of me as a baby with my mum. I have not done the journalling yet as i wanted to find out how old i was in this photo. The papers are from my trusty costco pack, alphas are thickers, PM, and MM rubons, primas and braid from stash.

Week 8- Cut a photo. This would have turned out a lot better if i had actually cut the photo straight! This was the first time our puppy Willow was allowed off the lead to play with other dogs (her mum and aunties!). I dont know what the papers are as i cut them up before looking! But they were bought for me by my good friend Paige when she went stash shopping at Capture the magic! The little dog tab is MM and the paw print stamp is from a set of see d's.

Thats as far as i have got!!
