A lovely weekend

Just wanted to post a few pictures of my weekend.

On Friday DD and me went to her school for the felt making course we are doing. We made these lovely felt beads which we then turned into necklaces. DD's is the pink and purple and mine is the green and purple. On Saturady Paige came over to show me how to make some crochet flowers. I have tried several types of crochet flowers but I think these ones look the best. Check out Paiges for blog for loads of lovely crochet and crafty things.

On Sunday we took our doggies to the beach for a nice long run. (My photos did not come out in order and blogger wont let me change them around!) Willow is the Golden and Oakley is the black and tan, they are both cocker spaniels from Paige. They are wonderful dogs and enjoy going nuts on the beach! On Saturday evening a group of us went up to Culver Down to watch the Bloodstone Border Morris dancers. These are an awesome group of morris dancers! They paint their faces and wear red and black..very goth like! They were dancing to welcome the spring equinox (which was last sunday). It was really cold but luckily my sister came prepared with coffee and homemade camembart and onion scones..delish! My son took these pics of the dancers.

Theres Mr Paige taking pics of the dancers, which I will try to get a copy of!

I had such a fun weekend and I hope your weekends were great too!

Yesterday was a lovely saturday wasn't it :D I really enjoyed the Bloodstone borders. They are dancing again in Ventnor on St Georges Day!!! Hope the muppets had fun on the beach. Did you see Fin and Beebee down there after their haircuts?

It's a chilly start to Spring isn't it! I'm not complaining though as it's lovely to see everything coming into bloom again.

The sand looks lovely - it must be great living near to a beach.

I love your felting beads - so chunky and fab! I've been thinking of crocheted flowers recently - only trouble is I can't crochet! I'm off to check out the link you gave.

Hope you have a lovely week x

Those felted necklaces look wonderful. One of the things on my list to have a go at soon.

it seems we have all got the crochet flowers and felt bug..look great Sam..isnt it nice to do something pretty when the sun shines. You were asking about my embellisher..I treated myself to one last year from GUR site..they are quite expensive and are basically a sewing machine wtih 5 needles that punch the felt..I havent really experimented with it yet though as too busy with paints!

It sounds like a loveley weekend. I enjoyed mine too. There was enough sun to sit in the garden. And i worked in the garden. Relaxed.

Am drooling at the thought of those scones!

Hastings always has a lot of Morris dancers in the summer and there is a lot there that look really goth with red and black faces... it wouldn't be the same ones would it? They are fab if they are!

I just wanted to post and say that your parcel has just arrived here...about half an hour after I put yours in the post.

Thank you so much as what you have made is gorgeous and now I want to pour over it and work out how you did all the backgrounds.

Even the way you have wrapped the parcel is great, the thought in the images and using my favourite wrapping, brown paper.

Thank you once again.
Carolyn.
