JOY!

This year instead of JYC (journal your christmas) Paige http://ladybird-ladybird-paige.blogspot.com and I have decided to do JOY....Journal our Yule!
We are using ideas that we have done before from JYC and Dec daily but also adding the yule element. It's basically a journal of what we are up to each day throughout december and on the days when we havn't done much we are going to journal about Yule things such as, how to make yule incense, a yule log, the story of the sun king etc.
We started making our journals today. Mine is 6"x4 1/2". I have not put the title on the front cover yet as Im not sure where to put it.

I shamelessly copied Paiges ideas for the pages and the little number tags! On the back of each number tag we are going to do a thought of the day or lesson of the day.

Lots of pretty pages!

My birthday page!!
I had great fun today making this with Paige and my sister (Zoe was making an activities advent calender). Lots of laughter and wonderful pasta for lunch (even without the sauce Paige!!!). I have not done any scrapping since the retreat as I have been busy with the sketchbook project and Tams new FREE course (link on the right, art, heart and healing) so it was nice to get back into it today and make this JOY!!

New LO's

It has been a very hectic couple of weeks so I am late posting these.
This is a photo of me cooking xmas lunch. I used my new papers from Cosmo Cricket-material girl, basic grey and thicker alphas, ribbon, 7 gypsies journalling card and a journal spot that Paige gave me.

This is my husband on xmas day with the house brick I gave him. No Im not joking, that was his prezzie! Ok theres a bit more to it...I bought him an engraved brick in the wall of the stadium of light (sunderlands footie ground). As the brick can't be removed from the stadium wall I wrote the engraved message on a house brick to give him...he was confussed untill he unwrapped the certificate!
PP is making memories falala, auntie sarahs bloomers, ticket, ribbon and a journal spot printed off the computer.

This was my surprise birthday dinner my sister did for me. I have no idea what the PP is as I got it from the lovely ladies at the retreat. The title was cut on my slice.
This is my LO for the WCC challenge, use 4 photos.

Photo of my Dad and my son on Dads lambretta, before they set off for the ride out. PP and die cuts are Fancypants rough and tough, chipboard arrow, Autumn leaves talking in circles stamp and clear plastic ribbon with arrows on.

A photo from the 1st WCC retreat. PP, die cuts and stamps are october afternoon
alphas are MM, adornit and doodlebug, buttons and bloom.

This is my document 2010 mini book. I didn't want to do a whole album as my life is just not that interesting!

Front two pages

I made 12 envelopes from Kraft paper, one for each month. I am keeping some memrobilia to put in the envelopes but I am also writing a letter every month about what I have done, how I am feeling etc.
I have a page for photos, the envelope.....

...then the back of the envelope for a calender tag and another larger photo and then another page for a list of events that month.

The months were cut out on Paiges cricut

And thats all for the moment. I will be working on this weeks WCC challenge tomorrow (Paige!!) and will hopefully get it posted on the WCC blog.
If you would like to take part in the challenge pop over to our blog, link at top of page.
