Warning..heavy photo post!!

I have not blogged in a long time what with Xmas and all and now I am in trouble with Ladybird (Paige) for not keeping my blog updated! So this post is a tiny bit photo heavy and some of those photos are blurry but I couldn't be bothered to do them again!

I will start with my JYC. This year its more a diary of December, only using prompts from Shimele when I didn't do anything particular that day.

Front cover

First page, a list of Xmas goals and our family values

1st & 2nd dressing the tree and the Tesco advent calender

3rd & 4th making lanterns with the friendship group and winter weather

5th lantern parade

5th & 6th wreath making and dog walking

7th & 8th my sons Xmas fete and business enterprise and the perfect Xmas

9th & 10th celebrating Xmas and Eid at the friendship group and cards

11th my daughter and Minnie the puppy

(sorry blogger lost the photo when I was spacing everything and I can't get it back!)
12th & 13th last crop of the year and getting organised

14th quiz night at the kids school (we came 3rd!)

15th my daughters xmas play, the envelope holds the programe, carol sheet and the quiz sheet from quiz night

16th a photo I took for the leaflets for the friendship group

17th - the gingerbread house my sister and me made.We ran out of icing so we made some more up but it was to runny and there was no more icing sugar, so my sis said "lets just add baking powder as thats white". It seemed to work, it made it thicker so we slathered it all over the roof. 10 minutes later it had gone like shaving foam and started sliding off the roof! We had to scrape it all off and go to the shop for more icing powder. It turned out all right in the end though!
18th-this page has an acetate front(taken from a gift box from a Thorntons mug) with thickers on......

covering this card that one of my sons teachers gave him. I included it because the teacher has written a long message inside saying what a wonderful child my son is, how pleased she is to teach him and thanking him for just being who he is. I was so proud of this that I wanted to include it in my JYC.

19th & 20th Xmas past and visiting the light displays on the Island

21st &22nd Yule (mid winter solstice) celebrated at dawn, in the rain, at the Long Stone and a clear pocket with a voucher from my kids saying they will be my helpers all day and a song written by daughter for me for my birthday

22nd my present list and my surprise birthday meal

23rd & 24th the xmas food shop, including how much my share came to and traditions we follow on xmas eve

24th more traditions

25th the kids opening their gifts and surprise presents for me and my husband. I bought my hubby a brick at the stadium of light (football stadium) in sunderland. You pay your money and get one of the bricks of the stadium wall engraved with your name and message. So to show him what I had bought him I wrote the message on a normal house brick and wrapped that up for him! He was a bit bewildered at first but then I gave him the certificate and it all became clear! He surprised me aswell, I had already had my gift from him before xmas, an I pod Nano, so I was not expecting anything else. When all the gifts were done he appeared with this big box for me and when I opened it it was a CD Hi Fi with docking station for my I pod!

25th xmas dinner and clear pocket with receipts and gift lists

Thats it for the JYC. I am quite pleased that it is more a diary this year otherwise it would have been the same as last years one as there is only so many times you can document your traditions, cards, decorations etc in an interesting way!

You two always look like you are having so much fun!

I love your JYC and your lo's are amazing, I love the sound of your friendship group.

I spotted that crochet mag you mentioned too - would be criminal NOT to pick it up on that opening price wouldn't it? :)

I'm doing well on the nails and theweight at the mo - only cos I've had the dreaded lurgy since New Years Eve though but hoefully I can build on the start eh? ;)
